Zennie is always insightful in how he thinks about the vlogging world. Interesting that he calls pointing the camera outward "1st stage" and pointing at yourself "2nd stage" - for my own YT experience, I've found I'm less and less interested in pointing it at myself. But, yes, I agree that these devices that we're all carrying around make it highly probable that the number of vloggers can only go up.
