I'll be surprised if he does that too. The Broncos dont have any real deep threats, so we will see how that goes. I would like to see him win one more ring before he retires but it all depends on how well they play as a team.

As I said, you can't go wrong with either of them. Brady still has 3 rings while Manning has 1, just like Manning still has higher numbers than Brady. Tom may not have won since 2004, but he's still gotten there twice more, and neither loss could be placed solely on him (Asante Samuel and Wes Welker come to mind). Like I said, personally I'd rather have Tom than Manning, but you can't say one is definitively better than the other.

People say that "one has the stats other has the rings" But when Brady started getting the huge stats, like in 2007, he never won another super bowl and has choked in the playoffs. When Manning had a good, but not great statistical season, he wins a super bowl and goes to another. Manning had the stats because he didn't have a defense. Brady now gets the stats because he doesn't have a defense, but he hasn't won a super bowl in like 8 years.

If I remember correctly, he had the best pass rushing tandem of the era (both probably will be in the hall of fame soon) not to mention the best weapons (at the time) in the era. And what does he have to show for it? 1 ring...... Montana is still the greatest.

Hold on there, big shooter. Montana's 49ers weren't great until Rice came to town? So the '84 49ers weren't great? Let's see... they went 15-1 (their only loss was by 3 points), they had the #1 scoring defense in the NFL (giving up just 14.2 ppg)... they had a top 5 offense in points, yards, passing AND rushing... they had FIVE pro bowlers on defense, including 2 CBs and 2 safetys... they also had TWO future HOFers on that defense...

But then again, one game was in a blizzard and he played less than 2 quarters in the 2nd game due to injury. I hate making excuses, but going 5.5 quarters without throwing a TD pass when 4 of those quarters were in blizzard conditions isn't exactly bad QB play. I'd say throwing for 312 in that blizzard and rushing for a big 4th quarter TD kind of makes up for the lack of any TD passes in 1.5 games. Manning fans always bring up the rain in SB 41... Just sayin'.

That "forward progress" call was bullshit too. That ref might as well have blown his whistle right after the ball was snapped.

Actually no Brady was 0 TDs and 1INT the only TD he threw was in the SB. If you read closely I said in the Playoffs I did not include the SB. The tuck rule was BULLSHIT and robbed the Raiders of going to the SB and of course Pat fans will cry and say it was all legal when no one knew jack shit about that rule before that game.

The 49ers did have Young as a backup in that '87 playoff game vs the Vikings. But "supposed to be a great QB" didn't exactly enter into it. Montana was struggling badly in that one and he was benched for a QB who, at the time, was 5-17 as a starter and had thrown 21 TDs and 21 INTs with a career 53.3 comp% and a 71.1 passer rating. Sorry, bringing up that Jets playoff game won't save you on that one.

Montana was more postseason clutch than Brady. So say Montana was a 10 on the postseason clutch factor scale, Brady would be about a 6 or 7. That makes Peyton about a 3 on that scale.

Without a doubt Montana is #1 and the most clutch QB of all-time and played in a much tougher era for QBs. Yes, Bledsoe did come in late in the first half when the Pats were up 7-3 and threw a TD pass to Patten to make it 14-3 at halftime. But Brady technically gets the "win" because he started. Just like Unitas in super bowl 5. But you never hear anyone say Earl Morrall really "won" SB 5. Unitas gets credit for 3 championships in his career. It is what it is.

People perceive Brady as this Montana-esque clutch QB, although that's actually starting to change because he hasn't won a SB in so long and has had a handful of not-so-good postseason games after setting such a high standard. You hate Brady? I don't even hate Peyton- he's easily top 3-5 all-time and actually has a great sense of humor. I just dislike some of his fans who think his shit doesn't stink.

Because if I remember correctly, Tom Brady has a pretty good team right now and Peyton Manning had a pretty good team as well in the past. Or how about when Brady played the Jets in 2010, and they were the #1 seed and Jets were #6 seed. The Pats had the MVP Brady and his 4 INTs all year and he couldnt make the passes that were needed to win the game. Of course Belichick isnt going to bench Brady, who does he have behind him? no one the Niners had Young who was supposed to be a great QB.
