and ray lewis would never survive as long as butkus did back in the day. It was the medical stone age and a much more physical time. He could never cover gale sayers, what's your point? How about dickerson or Bo Jackson. Just because players now have more advantages in training doesn't mean they're better as just athletes. Bo Jackson and Jim Brown would dominate anyone today

If Butkus was around today, he wouldnt get on a good team. He could never cover Tony Gonzales,Marshall Faulk,Antonio Gates, go head to head with Eddie George, Jerome Bettis,Adrian Peterson, etc. Lewis played against better players

well you beat the bears in the SB but we beat you ass opening day the following year.and we are going to do it again this year.lewis is one of the all time great LBS,for sure.but hes overated now and a product of the ravens d system.watch urlacher when he had 2 350 lb+ dt in front of him his first few years in the league,urlacher was unstopable.now he play the cover 2,and still put up all them #'s.

in 16 seasons lewis has 1993 total tackles - 40.5 sacks and 31 ints.ulracher in 12 seasons "including 1 hole year he did not play" has 1285 total tackles - 41.5 sacks and 21 ints.now do the math!and remember lewis has been playing 4 years longer then urlacher.when lewis retires urlacher #'s will surpass lewis!so there's the #'s for you.if you want to call ulracher and lewis a push "equal"thats fine. but urlacher can do things lewis cant do.urlacher has much better range and speed.
