On immigration; Europe overall has an ageing population, which means that by 2050 more than half the population will be aged 60+. That is even more unsustainable than some people claim immigration is. It's the reason why the SNP are welcoming migration - because Scotland's "Scottish" population is dwindling. Now either Europeans must begin breeding like rabbits & hope their infrastructures will catch up, or *some* sensible migration (of those who'll contribute economically) is needed.

I do agree with you, immigration policies need to be taken more seriously. Maybe not as serious as the US but add some sort of cap as I said earlier and check that all immigrants are contributing to the society / country (paying taxes and alike). If they just leeching, send them back to their motherland since they are not worth the space. When you immigrate you should respect the people, infact you should respect people regardless (unless they don't respect you back). PS (I am an immigrant) L

Well I can't argue with Britain as a whole.. I'm sure the benefits of immigrations are more greatly felt in Scotland with a population said to reduce to less than 5million by 2014. Ofcourse with immigration, it has changed that with 30% of the Salmon industry being made up of Eastern Europeans alone. Places where I live in East London are a different story, where there is much higher demand for jobs, especially Newham where there is an influx of immigrants, despite the Olympics.

Oh yeah and if someone wants a job hard enough, then go fucking find it instead of sit on your ass. Then when you on the job, respect your employer and if he violates your rights report it to the authorities. But no, many people are too proud to work low end jobs but then immigrants take them since they need what ever they can find to sustain. Unless our Monetary system changes, there will be less jobs, more people, more poverty and lower purchase power as time goes on.

British economy did increase prior to the recession, but of course the recession affected it, it affected pretty much the whole world whether there are immigrants or not. As I have said, Britain has be found up immigration and so is US and Canada and few other nations. What sucks is that majority of the labour jobs are going over to China and everything is being automised therefore reducing the amount of work. Things are expensive too = lower purchase power.

Immigrants also spread culture and alike. There is nothing wrong with immigrants wh pay taxes and go by the law only those who exploit systems I dislike. Yes immigration should be harder, at least there should be some sort of cap where once reached no more people from a certain country are allowed. Multicultural Nation is a good thing, people need to wake up.

Britains Population is 62million. It is not running out of room but out of jobs, while true immigrants do reduce the amount of jobs since they take it up, alot of immigrants are hard working and only small percentage exploit the system. Infact many statistic from BBC show that there are amount British people exploiting systems then Immigrants (2009 survey, il look for it).

I never said it was to do with the recession. I was simply referring to your statement 'British economy has increased due to foreign immigrants', because no, the economy has not been increasing as of now we're in a double-dip recession. The second half of my response was saying that immigration should be taken seriously as for the sustainability of Britain's economic future. We're an Island of over 70m people. That's just less than half of Canada's population within an area under 30x the size.

What, you think the country is back in recession due to immigration, are you serious? Immigration has nothing to do with the current recession, there might be something but its not even going to affect the whole recession. I could go on and on about this, just watch The Collapse, Zeitgeist, Venus Project and it gives you a rough idea. People are not spending, the Government is wasting money and most labour is in China oh and + Europe Crisis, Oil and USA with its banking problems (15t debt).

The humanity is as one, if we can't work together we will destroy each other. Don't care are if you pink, blue, Martian, as long as you respect everyone around you, its all good. Decent movie, bit harsh at times but alot of it is true what happened and still happens till this day. If you hate someone because of their race or colour, then you need growing up to do because we have to remember, how different races contributed greatly to our way of living.
