Idk, his leg was preeeeeetty bad lol
jessejones14 Says:
i dont understand this list mainly because i look at the quarterback position with more value than the rest to the extent that there should be two lists the top 100 players and the top lets say 25 quarterbacks because you cant tell me that youd rather john hannah to elway or don hudson to dan marino or mean joe greene to tom brady it just doe't make sense
nicka903 Says:
i've argued with this list plenty, here's another one. sayers is ranked too low. he was the best return specialist and the best running back. it wasn't like, ok just pick one. no fuck that he was the best at both
cityhawk Says:
You can say what ifs all you want, but the fact of the matter is, as unfair as it may be, you take what is given to you at that time. If you get injured and the technology isn't there to bring you back to where you were, unfortunately, there's nothing that can be done about it. You can't turn back the hands of time.
andrianosm Says:
he is definitively a top 10 back
3811iberis Says:
Willie "The Wisp" Galimore was another great Bears RB, to me, he was the closest to duplicating Gale Sayers, as far as agility, quickness, and speed, he was a sight to behold when he got his hands on that football also...
3811iberis Says:
It's just my opinion, but for his limited body of work, he's still considered as one of the top RB's in NFL history, more so than Earl Campbell even...
andrianosm Says:
"IF" he hadnt...do u realize how many players you could say that about...If Earl Campbell stayed healthy would we consider him better than Jim Brown?
andrianosm Says:
OMG u have Jim Brown as ur 4th rated RB....u sir are an idiot
HawkHerky Says:
Greg Cook played special teams and he's in the records for a holder as well? Seriously, Greg Cook is a bad example, simply because he never really made it back to the field after his injury. Sayers did it and led the league in rushing, again. Like I said, maybe he's ranked too high, but the only thing "fluke" about Gale Sayers was his injuries. Can't say that about Cook.
stevewoyach Says:
For his entire career he had fewer than 5,000 yards. If he had lasted more than 5 years maybe he'd earn a spot among the greats but he doesn't belong any more than Greg Cook does.
HawkHerky Says:
"#22 my butt, the most overrated player in NFL history." Maybe he's ranked too high, but if you know anything about the NFL recordbook, you'll find he did more than guys playing three times as long, inside shorter seasons with no postseason stats.
Lexingtonian Says:
you know it's only because Reggie died young. I'm not taking anything away from his career, I mean I'm a bears fan for fuck's sake, but he was kind of a martyr
Quietdude27 Says:
my top 5 QBs are 1- John Elway 2- Dan Marino 3- Joe Montana 4- P. Manning and 5- B. Favre my top 5 RBs are: 1- B. Sanders 2- Walter payton 3- Gale Sayers 4- Jim Brown 5- Emmitt Smith
zcatera074 Says:
Ranked #22?! Who voted on this? Probably FOX analysts who think football started in the 90s.
fakeandgay69 Says:
much lower...
chibears26 Says:
what exactly do you mean? -do you think he should be lower? or higher?
fakeandgay69 Says:
lol... 22? really?
richiesrockroundup Says:
is it me or does the music sound like he is dead when he is alive :P
Putlum Says:
2:39 He squeezed in between those two players
kingfish4242 Says:
actually, it's lem barney and he's in the HOF too.
GhostDistortion Says:
I like Peyton to a point, I mean I'm not a Colts fan at all, but I respect the guy. I have said for the last few years now that my top five QB's of all time would be Marino, Unitas, P. Manning, Moon, & Sonny Jurgensen. If the makers of this list want to use Championships as a measuring stick for QB's then that would mean That Otto Graham is better than anyone and Terry Bradshaw is number two, but we know that's not the case.
atty1chgo Says:
Reggie White # 7 and gale Sayers # 22? What a pile of crap.
jessejones14 Says:
marino is a top 10 player no doubt i mean dick butkus the 10th best player ever to play in the leauge ? please. same goes for don huttson he didnt even wear a football helmet. i would say hes top 5 but 100% top 10 1. Lawrence taylor 2.Rice 3.peyton manning ( i am a Colts fan ) 4.Reggie White 5.unitas thats my top 5, id put dan in the 7-10 milestone but everyone has their own opinion. but theres no way that marino is 25 when you consider they guys put before its insulting
