Rugby simply happens to have more " hard hits" per game. Both sports have great athletes . Soo much arguing. It's ridiculous .

Props to rugby because you have to be fit, but for sheer toughness i'll give the edge to football players. rugby forwards play a game like a football secondary but a rugby back and a football lineman/linebacker/running back....miles apart, as much difference as rugby and soccer, and i've played all three.
