I think you should all go read this article. It's called "Tom Brady Could Still Become the Best Quarterback in the History of the NFL" From BleacherReport. There's very interesting facts....just saying!
AudiBoison Says:
it isn't luck, that's because Eli Manning can play under pressure. Just because Quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Tom Brady has more touchdowns, less interceptions and more yards then Eli Manning dosen't mean they can play better under pressure and if your teams quarterback could do the same thing as Eli Manning you wouldn't say it was luck right? no so shut up and accept that Giants won Super Bowl and hope your team is going to win it this season.
AudiBoison Says:
that's because Giants can play in the important games and I bet if it was your team who could do the same things as Giants it wouldn't be luck it would be good play right?

@Fusiontron Are you a Brady hater? That's how I know you don't even know about football. Brady is one of the greatest of all time as it is...and he still has a lot left in the tank. Show some respect to the legends, man.
Fusiontron Says:
I wish he had lost all the 3 that he won.

.. in the first half of the year. Other than the Seattle game where he threw for 3 INTs, which he threw for 420 yards anyway in a pass happy playing from behind game, his stats/PR were phenomenal. Keep in mind, Eli threw the ball 589 opposed to Romo's 522 with 67 attempts difference. Stats? OK, Eli had more yards, yards per attempt and yards per game...and also a 32nd ranked running game that sucked the paint of a fire hydrant for the entire season. Those aren't the only stats you can mention.

@CheckTheRealStats That's because Eli was in a run first offense
TRChamp08 Says:
@CheckTheRealStats I see how much emphasis that you put into stats by your post and your username. But gmen2112 said it best! This is a results League. And if you were to ask Romo himself, I think he'd take 1 or 2 Super Bowl rings over any stats that he's accomplished. Dan Marino had better stats than Joe Montana but that didn't make him a better QB. And you left out an important stat; Eli is 8-4 against Romo head to head. Eli wins more on the road and in the playoffs. I checked the real stats.
gmen2112 Says:
its a results league, not a stats league. While romo consistently has a better rating than romo, you think he wouldnt trade it all for just 1 ring? let alone 2. i can respect the fact he is a stats qb, but the nfl is all about what you do in most critical times. eli is better than romo in those times
CheckTheRealStats Says:
What do you mean Eli was way ahead of Romo for one point? And yes I know Eli was the fourth quarter monster last season, but I'm not sure I would say Eli is better than Romo simply because his fourth quarter stats are better. Granted, the fourth quarter is the most important, but I believe Romo had a better overall season than Eli. More touchdowns, less interceptions, higher rating. Yes, Eli excels in parts of the game that Romo doesn't but I think if you look at the overall stats, Romo got it.
SikkAssFoooo Says:
I'm a Pats fan so its not like I have anything against Romo. I'm just bringing to light what I feel about him. The Cowboys do need him though. They can't risk losing him. The back-ups are completely terrible. They also need DeMarco Murray to stay healthy, because he was pretty amazing from what I saw. Anyway, so at the end of the day. You just can't say Romo is at Eli's level. Because Eli gets it done and that's what matters. I hate 'em though. Lol
SikkAssFoooo Says:
@TRChamp08 Yeah, I remember that. Then he was forced to try and run it in himself and failed. That's exactly the kind of mistakes I'm talking about. He's careless. He still has to mature as a QB in a lot of aspects. He does show flashes of a potentially talented QB at times, but he has to learn to keep that up. Minimize mistakes, and play for four quarters rather than 3.
tech9393 Says:
Not necessarily. For the most part they were neck and neck comparing stats. Eli was actually way ahead of Romo for one point. When you add in all the 4th quarter comebacks it weighs in favor of Eli. Only thing I can think of in the 4th quarter Romo doing was fumbling against the Jets and of course a mishap play to Miles austin.
TRChamp08 Says:
@SikkAssFoooo Yup, I agree. I'm not one of those Giants fans who picks on Romo just because I hate the Cowboys. But he has always had a hard time getting to that next level, NFC Championship...and Super Bowl. Romo if you'll remember in his 1st year as the starter, botched a snap for the tying FG against Seattle in the Playoff game. His career could've been destroyed psychologically. But he's since shown flashes of good stuff at times, bad at other times. He's inconsistent. Not elite.
SikkAssFoooo Says:
@TRChamp08 It was on NFL.com I believe. They were comparing both Eli and Romo. Of course though...Eli is a much better QB. You said it best. He ends up choking or something when it mostly counts. No one should ever be considered elite when he's got that type of history. So why mention him with the elites?
TRChamp08 Says:
True! And I don't understand where these Eli to Romo comparisons came from. Someone earlier talked about his 4th Quarter mistakes. More times than not he either throws a costly INT. or just fails to cash in on a great opportunity. Remember Week 14, the 1st Cowboys game? Of course we remember the comeback that turned our season around. But Romo had a wide-open Dez Bryant streaking down the right side, and Romo over-threw him. If a catch and TD, that would've sealed it! Eli has proven better.
FlameDaniel Says:
Hakeem Nicks out for 12 weeks due to broken foot but he will be back during preseason. Romo? Has he even went to the NFC championship? If not, why compare him to Eli? Eli is 8-5 vs Romo all time. What the fuck?
TRChamp08 Says:
Oh, I didn't think that you would respect the Giants even one time. So I certainly wouldn't expect for it to be a regular occurence. We all know that you hate them. But at least you say now that you respect them. I can respect that.
